Helge Tscharn – Local Continuum

Der legendäre Helge Tscharn ist zurück, und er hat direkt dort weitergemacht, wo er aufgehört hatte – aber mit einem etwas anderen Ansatz. Er besuchte zwar die Spots einiger seiner klassischen Aufnahmen erneut – diesmal jedoch ohne die Skater – um zu sehen, wie die Zeit sie verändert hat und veröffentlicht nun die Ergebnisse in diesem 100 Seiten starken Softcover-Fotobuch mit dem Titel Local Continuum, das in limitierter Auflage erscheint. Darin stellt er das Originalfoto neben die aktuelle Aufnahme des Spots, aufgenommen aus der gleichen Perspektive. Iain Borden, Professor für Architektur und urbane Kultur, steuerte zusammen mit Holger von Krosigk und Veith Kilberth die Texte bei.

Legendary photographer Helge Tscharn is back, and he directly continued where he’d left off – but with a different approach. He revisited the spots of some of his classic shots – this time without the skaters – to see how time has changed them and finally published the results in this 100 pages softcover photobook with the title Local Continuum that is published in a limited edition. In it, he puts the original photo next to the current shot of just the spot, taken from the same perspective. Iain Borden, professor of architecture and urban culture, along with Holger von Krosigk and Veith Kilberth, contributed texts.
